This is played with a single 6-string electric guitar with standard
(EADGBE) tuning. This took me a little while to learn, so I figured I
would share this on OLGA. This tablature is my own work and the work
of the original poster, it may be distributed freely. I have merely
expanded on the original post. I've included more detail of the song.

Guitar Setup:
Use the neck pickups to get a warm a sound as you can. If you have
chorus, set the rate to 40% and the depth to 60%. If you have a delay,
set that to match the song. On a Line6 POD, I am using 'POD Layer' with
'Drive' set to 55% with delay and chorus. Effect tweak set at 45%.

Playing:
I strummed upstrokes for the Rythym phrases, so you don't end up
catching the G string. Other than that, I think it's self-explanatory.
Also, Rythym I is used played 4 times in the intro.

                Fortress Around Your Heart  STING
                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  from the album:
                                            Dream of the Blue Turtles
 This is my second posting so my explanations may not be all that good.
 Nevertheless, I hope you will enjoy playing this great Sting classic.
 No flags of truce, no cries of pity
 The siege guns have been pounding all through the night
 As I returned across the fields I'd known
 I recognized the walls that I once made
 Of walking on the mines I'd laid
 Chorus:
    Dm          C           Am            C
 And if I built this fortress around your heart
    Dm       C      Am              C
 Encircled you in trenches and barbed wire
    Dm       C       Am             C
 Then let me build a bridge, for I cannot fill the chasm
    Dm     c     Am         c
 Beneath the tattered flag we made
 I had to stop in my tracks for fear
 Of walking on the mines I'd laid
 This prison has now become your home
 A sentence you seem prepared to pay
 I had to stop in my tracks fear
 Of walking on the mines I'd laid
 Go back to intro riff.
 Whew! That was harder to explain than I thought. Your comments or
 corrections would be greatly appreciated.
                        Akira Nakahara (using my brother's account)
 P.S. Also I'd like to get my hands on any tablature for Sting,
        Van Halen, and the Rolling Stones,
                                            Thanks.
